Adobe Acrobat Tutorial or HOW the hell do I use this stuff?

{I will be updating this as I discover all the things I forgot
as well as other little tips that might be useful.}

Not to be obtuse or imply that any of you are
but if you have any imaging software like Paint Shop, Photo Impact, Photoshop Album, Photoshop Elements or Photoshop
you will be able to save the PDF on your hard drive and open it with one of those programs, then convert it to a JPEG or Bitmap.

If you have Windows XP, after you convert and save the image on your hard drive,
all you need is Right-click on the image file
and then select
"Set as Desktop Background"

If you have earlier versions of Windows
you will need to open your "Display Properties" and set your wallpaper from there,
after you have saved the image as a Bitmap or JPEG.

I know a bunch of you have figured this out but
for those of you who don't screw around with your PC all the time
or just want to know how to deal with the PDF images.
Acrobat Reader #6 and #7 made this pretty easy, if the images were saved correctly.

If the images were saved to be opened with Acrobat Reader 4 or 5 it makes the process a bit longer and more like using Acrobat Reader 8. If you actually have Acrobat Reader 5,
I recommend that you get at least Acrobat Reader 6.
The one thing that is consistent is that you will not get a "Picture Tasks" button in Acrobat Reader 6 or 7.

All you will see is the "Select Tool" button next to the "Hand Tool" button.

(Not hard, not too easy)

Acrobat reader #8 seems to be more for text documents than images and generally has made it a pain in the ass, they had a good thing going with 6 & 7 but like so many things in life people seem to think it needs to not work the way it did.

Hopefully this is useful information.
