The first time I saw this I was thinking that a bunch of guys got together and thought up some stuff that a bunch of overly enthusiastic Jr. High girls might do just before they graduate to High School . . . .
After doing a bit of research this is actually based on the life of mangaka Towa Oshima as related in her manga High School Girls.
It's nice to know that there could have been actual girls that led as debauched and goofy a high-school career as the people I hung out with. But then I also grew up in a town and time when girls were more "proper".
Although  . . . . ahh . . . I'll leave the more personal meanderings at that . . . .

As far as general anime goes there are a few sound effects and other gimmicks that are "the norm'" and the production values aren't real high but the show is enjoyable with seemingly generous amounts of fanservice from time to time. I still think there was a bunch of guys involved in this script/story-board but it's still nice to think that a bunch of girls can be as sophomoric as the guys at that age.
